Terms of Service

True Build Cost provides ZIP-tuned planning ranges for new-home / land-and-build costs and for single remodel or home-improvement projects, plus related guides and content.

Estimates are planning tools only. They are not bids, quotes, appraisals, tax or lending advice, or professional design or construction advice. Actual costs vary. Always get local professional quotes before financial or construction decisions.

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live). You may use the Service for personal or internal business planning related to U.S. residential projects. You agree not to misuse or disrupt the Service, scrape or bulk-extract data without permission, use it unlawfully, or present our outputs as certified bids or professional opinions. We may suspend access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.

Drafts may live in your browser; some estimates may be saved on our servers. You are responsible for your inputs. We do not guarantee indefinite retention—export anything important. Share links may let anyone with the link view or edit an estimate; treat them carefully.

The Service may reference third-party data, link to other sites, or show advertising. We are not responsible for third-party sites, services, ads, or their practices. Third-party data (including published rankings and official statistics we cite) is for orientation only and is not a guarantee of cost or value in your market.

The Service—including software, design, text, and compilation of data—is owned by True Build Cost or its licensors. You get a limited license to use the Service as intended. Do not copy or redistribute our content for commercial republication without written consent, except as fair use or law allows. Feedback may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PROJECT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUE BUILD COST AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY ESTIMATE OR CONTENT—EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

You agree to defend and indemnify True Build Cost and its operators from claims and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections where you live require otherwise. Courts in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where prohibited.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version here and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
